Dance With Grace

Inspired by singer-songwriter Jaclyn Perreault, who wrote a song for a woman in recovery at Serenity House. In Dance With Grace, I'm imagining what it might be like for this woman, who may not believe in herself -- but finds a glimmer of hope in someone else who does.

I don’t know where the sun is rising
I can’t see a little glimpse of day
I can’t hear the voice inside me
Cause I have lost my way

I've been down this worn out highway
I've been down this road before
I've been true to all my demons
But I can’t anymore

So you say there’s a light in me
And it will shine more every day
You believe
You believe
I will rise above
And Dance With Grace

I once dreamed there was a house in heaven
I once dreamed that house was mine
And inside there were people smiling
That day, the sun did shine

I've been trapped down by this crossroad
I've been trapped inside my fears
I've been good at lies and secrets
But they got me nowhere

So you say there’s a light in me
And it will shine more every day
You believe
You believe
I will rise above
And Dance With Grace

So you say there’s a light in me
And it will shine more every day
You believe
You believe
I will rise above
And Dance With Grace
