Rivers & Trains

Sometimes it's best to drift down the river of life and just let things unfold, but when you find who or what you really want -- then it's time to jump on that train...

Some say the river sure got its ways
Wade up in the north, drift down for days
Drop in a line, wait for a bite
I got a feeling this drifting ain't right

Don't take the river, find you a train
One with coal fire, the other with rain
If you're late a season she says you're to blame
So pull up that line and go catch you that train

Lovin' ain't easy, there's much more to the tale
In the evening I love you, by morning we sail
But days gather days and nights pull up lame
So steer to the banks and go, catch you that train
Pull up that line and go catch you, catch you that train

Nobody meant this, nobody schemed
I never dreamt this but I'm coming clean
The river will always flow in my brain
If I'm gonna hold you I'm catching that train

Don't take the river, find you a train
One with coal fire, the other with rain
If you're late a season she says you're to blame
So pull up that line and go catch you that train

Lovin' ain't easy, there's much more to the tale
In the evening I love you, by morning we sail
But days gather days and nights pull up lame
So steer to the banks and go, catch you that train
Pull up that line and go catch you, catch you that train

Don't take the river, find you a train
One with coal fire, the other with rain
If you're late a season she says you're to blame
So pull up that line and go catch you that train
Pull up that line and go catch you that train
